FIRST DEER #004 - NICK

State: Kentucky
Age: 24
Year of Harvest: 2025
Buck or Doe: Buck (9-pointer)
Who Were You With: My buddy Jon
The Story:
My buddy Jon and me went out on the first big snow of the year and sat on the mountainside. We heard the woods come alive with turkeys gobbling and coyotes howling. Then this buck stepped out and I just remember everything happening so fast. There was no time to think and my adrenaline was at an all time high. I couldn’t see how big of a deer it was at first, but I remember Jon telling me as I was about to shoot he was a monster. I was very blessed for this to be my first deer. And it’s only made my love for hunting grow.
What Do You Remember Most:
It was just the joy. I honestly don’t think I quit smiling until I went to bed that night.
